The Downtown Arts District is home to the Mary Pickford Movie Theatres, the nation's first 100% sustainable theatre. For live theatre, the Coachella Valley Repertory Theatre presents Broadway-worthy productions in its 200-seat theatre. The district also incorporates the festival lawn, the site of the annual Hot Air Balloon Festival, and the Taste of Jalisco festival. 
 
Sports lovers can head to Big League Dreams and explore the magnificent sports complex, featuring stadium club restaurants, batting cages, kid's play areas, and indoor pavilions.
 
You can check out one of the many fine resorts in Cathedral City, offering great times and scenic views. Some resorts include DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Golf Resort and the Cimarron Golf Resort. If you’re a fan of staying active and swimming, there’s the popular health club, In-Shape.
 
The community is also home to various parks and hiking areas that offer ample green space to get close to nature. Whitewater Path Trailhead is one of the best hiking areas to explore, following the Whitewater River Canyon towards the iconic PCT and climbing up to a bluff into the canyon. You will enjoy scenic views and have a great time hiking with residents.
